Admissions Process

* Important Instructions:

  1. As per government of Maharashtra directive, vide their letter Shai Pravesh/4679 dated 5/2/16 and further instructions of Commissioner Social Welfare, GoM, the Government is likely to develop and implement comprehensive online common admission management system for MSW course, in such case and or….

  2. Or under the present COVID-19, pandemic spread/ crises, if, GoM, UGC/ SP Pune University, the Institute suggest/ implement any changes in any of the admission procedures, rules, criteria, academic syllabus, calendar or even the Semester Examinations patterns/ systems, the candidates seeking admission or admitted for MSW course, will have to adhere to new systems, procedures, pattern and rules whichever will be made applicable for the semester or for the entire course or whatever may be the case. Kindly note that the Karve Institute will not be responsible and will not have any control over such changes in system or circumstantial consequences.

  3. Under the Current COVID-19 Pandemic Circumstances- All the candidates appearing for the admission procedure/ *test and or all the admitted students, should strictly follow and adhere to all the rules/ norms/ guidelines and protocol of ‘Physical/ Social Distancing’ laid down by the Institute/ Govt. Of Maharashtra UGC/ SPP University, PMC or Local Government/ Authorities, existing/ or in-force or issued time to time. Any violation in this regard may attract appropriate disciplinary/ penal action as per the Law/ rules of concern authorities.  

 

Important Instructions for the candidates: 

  1. The Candidate must have passed or appeared for 3 years bachelors’ degree course.

  2. Candidate must have a fairly good knowledge of English language.

  3. Read the prospectus and information regarding the course carefully (available in the prospectus and on website) before filling up the online application form.

  4. Following are the steps and instructions while submitting the online application form and payment of fees.

Step 1 : Only Online forms are accepted

Step 2 : All the candidates who have applied online shall pay Rs 600/- (Open Category ) and 400/-for Reservation category candidates -as entrance test registration fee (Non Refundable). The students of reservation category should submit Xerox copy of caste certificate.

Step 3 : Submission of Print out of online admission form is compulsory.

Step 4 : Please attach the Original/Xerox receipt of Rs. 600/- & 400/- of online payment and as per list of all the documents on page

                no. 22 as mentioned in MSW Prospectus along with the print out of the online application form.

The institute must receive completed application and documents on or before 12th Aug 2021 up to 4.00 p.m.. (This can be submitted in person, via post or currier service). The Institute will not be responsible for postal delays, for whatsoever reasons. 

Step 5 :

A) You can pay by using Credit Card/Debit Card/Net Banking.(Standard Charges will be applicable as per payment mode).

B) Via RTGS or NEFT : Pay to Karve Institute of Social Service, Indian Bank, Karvenagar Branch, Pune, IFSC Code IDIB000C137. Account           No. 490039617, saving account. (Please send the receipt by email immediately for information with your full name 

     to kinsspune@gmail.com, once you deposit the amount.

Other Instructions :

A. Institute will not be sending any confirmations or letters regarding the entrance test and the selection process. The candidate will be           responsible for appearing for the entrance test as per the schedule declared at his own risk.

C. If candidates fail to attempt the entrance exam. He /She will not get the paid fees towards “entrance test registration fee”. In any                 circumstances, the fees, once paid at the institute is not refundable. There is no institutional refund policy.

Eligibility

The minimum requirement for admission to the MSW degree programme of the University of Pune is a Bachelor’s degree of a minimum of 3 years duration in Arts, Science, Commerce, Law, Home Science or any other faculty of a recognized University. Higher academic degrees or diplomas in Social Sciences and experience of working with people will be an additional qualification.

Candidates who have appeared for the qualifying Bachelor’s degree examinations in April / May  and whose results are awaited are also eligible for the admission. Admissions of such candidates will be provisional and will be confirmed only after passing the graduation degree examination and on submission of final mark sheet. Submission of the mark sheet to the Office within the stipulated time is essential for confirming the admission.

Candidates deputed by Government or Private organizations should apply through proper channel with appropriate NOC. If it is found that the information given by the candidate is incorrect or misleading or if ineligibility is detected before or after the admission, his/her candidature / admission will be cancelled.
