Objectives

  • Programme Development and Consultancy: Undertake projects and monitor initiatives that aim to enhance the socioeconomic conditions of communities, focusing on sustainable development goals and well-being.
  • Promotion and Collaboration for Social Work Initiatives: Facilitate and support social work activities that align with the Institute’s mission. The Institute offers consultancy, guidance, and assistance to agencies and communities in need, fostering collective progress toward improved social welfare.
  • Research in the Development sector : Conduct and promote research that advances understanding of social problems, providing insights and data essential for formulating effective solutions. A Research Advisory Committee comprising distinguished social workers, scholars, and community leaders will guide these efforts.
  • Training and Professional Development: Equip students with the knowledge, skills and attitude required to address a wide range of social issues. Through structured programs and field experiences, the Institute aims to develop competent social work professionals capable of effectively responding to societal needs.

  • Collaborative and Cooperative Efforts: Establish and nurture relationships with organizations and associations with similar goals, facilitating the exchange of knowledge and resources.   • Promotion of Social Welfare and Education: Advance general social welfare by providing education, medical relief, and acting for the community’s overall benefit. The Institute is committed to support Social Work Education and allied courses.
  • Adaptability and Ethical Alignment: Ensure all activities adhere to the ethical standards, spirit, and guiding principles of the Institute’s constitution and laws. Regular updates to the Institute’s objectives reflect changing societal needs and maintain alignment with community welfare, moral, cultural, educational, physical, and mental well-being.
  • Retention and Employment of Skilled Professionals: Employ qualified social workers, technical advisors, and other skilled staff to meet the Institute’s objectives. Compensation and honoraria to be provided to support these professionals in carrying out vital social work initiatives.
