Mental Health and Professional Growth
At Karve Institute, we have taken pioneering steps in advancing mental health awareness and care. Through our workshops, such as the one on Rational Emotive Behaviour Therapy (REBT) led by renowned psychiatrists and psychologists, we aim to develop a deeper understanding and practical skills for addressing mental health issues. Our partnerships with field supervisors and visiting faculty further enrich our students’ learning by connecting classroom knowledge to hands-on practice in communities.
Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and Community Impact
Our commitment to sustainable development is reflected in our active involvement with Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives. Collaborating with industry leaders like Kirloskar, Godrej, and Tech Mahindra, we offer innovative solutions through impact assessments, field projects, and capacity-building programmes. The establishment of the Tech Mahindra NGO Resource Centre, for instance, provides marginalised students access to technology, enhancing their academic and social skills while promoting digital literacy.
We have also taken significant strides in integrating CSR principles into our curriculum, offering specialised diplomas that train future professionals to drive social responsibility in diverse sectors. These initiatives not only empower our students but also align with our vision of equitable development.
