Introduction
To enable a smooth transition from academia to the professional world, the Job Placement Cell (JPC) at Karve Institute of Social Service, Pune assists students in securing job opportunities aligned with their aspirations and competencies. The JPC is dedicated to bridging the gap between social work education and meaningful employment in the Governmental, Non-Governmental, and Private Sectors.
Campus Recruitment Drive
The JPC conducts an Annual Campus Recruitment Drive from January to April to provide final-year students with employment opportunities and career guidance.
- The drive facilitates interactions between students and recruiters, enabling them to make informed employment decisions.
- Agencies from Government, NGOs, Semi-Government, and the Corporate Sector at local, national, and international levels are invited.
- The recruitment process exposes students to diverse career options within the field of social work and CSR.
Job Placement Assistance
The JPC actively facilitates job placement by:
- Assisting students in drafting resumes and cover letters.
- Conducting mock interviews and career guidance workshops.
- Providing one-on-one career counselling to help students identify the best opportunities.
- Offering insights into sector-specific career paths in social work, mental health, community development, human rights, and corporate social responsibility (CSR).
Employer Engagement & Opportunities
Organizations interested in participating in campus recruitment or offering job opportunities to our students are requested to contact the Job Placement Officer.
- Recruiters may register with the JPC to participate in campus placement drives.

- Employers can conduct on-campus or virtual recruitment drives in coordination with JPC.
- The JPC also organizes internship opportunities and fellowships for students interested in hands-on learning experiences.
Alumni Support and Career Services
The JPC also provides career assistance to alumni by sharing job openings and industry insights.
- Organizations can post job vacancies at which will be circulated among alumni networks.
- Alumni seeking job opportunities can register with JPC to receive regular job alerts and career guidance.
- Networking sessions and professional development workshops are conducted to support lifelong learning and career advancement.

- For Students:
- Register with the JPC Office by submitting updated resumes and required details.
- Attend career counselling sessions and participate in pre-placement workshops.
- Follow the recruitment timeline and application process as per JPC guidelines.
- For Employers:
- Submit job descriptions, eligibility criteria, and recruitment preferences to JPC via email.
